HexHis
Hexa His is a sequence of six consecutive histidine residues. It is responsible for degrading GM2 gangliosides and various other molecules with terminal N-acetyl hexosamines in the brain and other tissues. The 6xHis tag binds to divalent cations in their oxidized states and can be used as a fusion tag for immunoaffinity chromatography
