Senior/Principal Scientist

Job Summary:

TriDix Bio, a biotechnology company specializing in 3D and organoid models, is based in San Diego. We are looking for a highly motivated Scientist with experience in assay development, 3D cell culture, and organoid technologies. The ideal candidate will play a key role in innovative research projects focused on assessing drug efficacy and toxicity through advanced 3D and organoid models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, optimize, and validate in vitro assays to assess cellular responses and pharmacological effects.

  • Cultivate and maintain 3D cell models and organoids, ensuring experimental reproducibility and reliability.

  • Develop and utilize organoid systems to study disease mechanisms, drug responses, and toxicity profiles, integrating them into broader research objectives.

  • Analyze experimental data using statistical methods and present findings to internal teams and external clients.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support project goals.

  • Maintain accurate records of experiments and procedures in accordance with regulatory and quality standards.

  • Stay current with scientific literature and advancements in assay technologies, 3D cultures, and organoid research.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Pharmacology, or a related field; or a Master’s degree with relevant experience.

  • Hands-on experience with assay development and validation.

  • Proficiency in 3D cell culture and organoid techniques.

  • Familiarity with relevant analytical methods and data interpretation.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with organoid development.

  • Knowledge of bioinformatics tools for data analysis.

  • Publications in peer-reviewed journals related to assay development or organoid research.

The ideal candidate will support ongoing research projects, contributing to experiments and analyses that advance our understanding of cellular processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and execution of laboratory experiments related to cell biology, including cell culture, transfections, and assays.

  • Collect and record experimental data accurately, ensuring high-quality documentation and compliance with laboratory protocols.

  • Assist in the analysis of data using appropriate statistical methods and tools, and contribute to the interpretation of results.

  • Help maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.

  • Work closely with senior researchers and other team members to support project goals and share the results.

  • Stay updated on relevant scientific literature and advancements in cell biology to inform experimental design.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or master degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.

  • Relevant laboratory experience gained through internships, coursework, or research projects is preferred but not required.

  • Basic understanding of cell biology techniques and principles.
