6His-Cysteine
The HHHHHH-Cys peptide (6His) consists of six histidine residues followed by a cysteine residue and is used as a fusion tag for immunoaffinity chromatography. Polyhistidine tags, or 6xHis-tags, are commonly used for affinity purification of polyhistidine-tagged recombinant proteins expressed in Escherichia coli and other prokaryotic expression systems.
